The Shoprite Centre Power Project
Shoprite Centre partnered with Rentech to install a grid-tied solar system to co-generate electricity with the grid power supplied to the mall.
The main objective was to generate as much solar power as possible from the available roof space, capping electricity cost increases to create a sustainable future for tenants and their business activities in the long term.
Rentech successfully installed a 556,8 kWp solar system with 375 kW grid-tied inverters co-generating power with the utility.
